¹⁹ Look, I have given you the authority^(A) to trample^(B) on snakes^(C) and scorpions^(D) and over all the power of the enemy;^(E) nothing will ever harm you.^{(F) 20} However, don’t rejoice that^[a] the spirits^(G) submit to you,^(H) but rejoice that your names are written^(I) in heaven.”

The Son Reveals the Father

²¹ In that same hour^(J) He^[b] rejoiced in the Holy^[c] Spirit^(K) and said, “I praise^[d] You, Father,^(L) Lord of heaven and earth,^(M) because You have hidden these things from the wise and the learned^(N) and have revealed them to infants.^(O) Yes, Father, because this was Your good pleasure.^[e](P)
